Moving Dirt Without the Rental Counter: AGT's KKT27 Mini Skid Steer

Verdict $14,961.78 buys the loader outright: 58 days of the $260.00 Bobcat S70 at El Paso Tool Rental, or 86 days of the $175.00 stand-on SL380C on the same rate card. Neither rented machine is an exact match for it.

Prices are US list prices at the time of publication. Shipping, duties and local taxes vary by country — check with the manufacturer before ordering.

AGT sells the KKT27 mini skid steer for $14,961.78, shipping included. El Paso Tool Rental publishes what the same afternoon costs at a counter: $260.00 a day for a Bobcat S70, $175.00 for a stand-on SL380C.

Buying is 58 days of the first machine and 86 days of the second. Which number applies depends on which one you would have rented, and the AGT is not quite either.

The Machine

A Kubota D1105 diesel, 27 HP maximum, in a tracked loader that weighs 1,300 kg (2,866 lb) at work. Overall width 41 in, length 108 in, height 63 in. Bucket 0.2 m³, top speed 4.7 km/h, fuel and hydraulic tanks 35 L each.

There is no seat. AGT’s spec table never says what the operator does; its own photographs answer it, with a tread-plate platform behind the machine and two hand levers over the hood. This is a stand-on loader — the same format as the $175.00 rental, at 1.57 times its weight.

The listing is the only place the brand is settled. Shopify returns "brand":"AGT Equipment"; the decals read CFG INDUSTRIAL and KKT(A)27. CFG Industrial has no working site: cfgindustrial.com does not resolve, cfg-industrial.com answers with 114 bytes. Warranty mail goes to AGT Industrial, at agrotkindustrial.com.

Stock is real, checked in raw HTML: "availability" : "http://schema.org/InStock", "price" : "14961.78", the .js endpoint at available: true, and an add-to-cart button without disabled. The three “Sold out” strings sit in the chat widget, the form template and the cart.

Price divided by day rate, nothing else: no fuel, trailer, repairs, interest or resale. On the S70 line that is also 80 four-hour blocks, 15 weeks or 9 months. Twelve months at the published monthly rate is $21,840 — 1.46 times what the machine costs to own.

The counter already discounts the long haul: a month of the S70 is 7 day rates, and a month of the SL380C is 7 as well.

The 28 days between 58 and 86 are the whole decision. It is the same counter whose $225 day rate made HUAYEE’s HY14C mini excavator a 34-day machine, and the same method that first put a stump grinder at 19 to 21 days.

What Breaks

The two lifting numbers are not the same measurement. El Paso publishes the S70 at a 760 lb rated operating capacity, half its tipping load — the SAE convention. AGT publishes “Maximum Lifting Force 400 kg (882 lb)” and no tipping load. The 882 is not a safe working load, and reading it as one makes a lighter machine look stronger than a Bobcat.

The spec sheet cannot answer AGT’s own attachment catalog. The hydraulic auger the same store sells for this machine needs 6–15 GPM at 2,000–3,000 PSI. The KKT27 table lists a 35 L hydraulic tank and stops: no flow, no pressure, no auxiliary circuit. From published numbers, a buyer cannot confirm the loader runs the attachment its own seller recommends.

Free shipping ends at your gate. AGT ships free in the contiguous US in 7–15 business days, and its policy is explicit: for skid steers the customer must have a forklift on site, or collect at the nearest freight terminal. That is 2,866 lb to unload. El Paso’s rates exclude tax and charge delivery separately.

The warranty page does not mention this machine. It itemizes cylinders, breakers, brush cutters, grapples, hoses, motors, stump grinders and sheds — attachments, one year each — then covers “all other attachments”. No loader, no engine, no undercarriage, no term. Coverage is void unless the unit was bought direct from agtequipment.com. DATA NOT AVAILABLE FROM SOURCE on the machine warranty.

One published number does check out. 1,300 kg is 1.43 short tons, so the listing’s “1.4 Ton” is honest. The bucket line is not: 0.2 m³ is 0.26 cubic yards, and the page prints 0.079.

Who Should Buy This

The owner who already pays by the day at a counter that publishes its rates. Someone who knows what a Saturday of loader time costs because it is on an invoice, not an estimate — and who can therefore count the days instead of guessing them. Past 58 a year on the heavier class, or 86 on the lighter, the arithmetic stops arguing.

The buyer sizing the step between two machines. The same store sells a 0.8-ton gas loader at $6,590.97. The step up to a Kubota diesel at 2,866 lb is published and comparable, which is more than can be said for the capacity figure on either page.

Not for anyone without a trailer, a forklift or a freight terminal nearby. Not for anyone who needs a rated capacity in writing before lifting over a truck bed. And not for whoever rents four days a year: the counter wins for a decade and a half.

The Stack

No affiliate links in this issue. When a link earns us a commission, we always say so. Verdicts are never for sale.

The machine arrives with a bucket and no way to check what else it runs, so start at the attachment page. AGT’s hydraulic auger is $1,125.85 and states what the loader does not: a universal mini quick-attach of the Toro Dingo pattern, 48 in of drilling depth, 6–15 GPM. That mount is the fact worth having: it is a standard the aftermarket builds to.

For brush and logs the 39-inch grapple is $920.00, 383.6 lb packaged, same Dingo mount. The 43-inch 4-in-1 bucket is $1,035.00, two inches wider than the loader carrying it, which matters on a gate.

Before any of it, open El Paso’s rate card, count your own days, and read AGT’s warranty policy to the end.

Fifteen lines of that spec table carry both units, down to the ground clearance. The one the attachments ask for is not on the table at all.
